The trading housing falls 17.2% in September a contract duration

The number of housing sales transactions recorded in September was 37,621, representing a decrease of 17.2 percent over the same month last year, according to data published by the National Statistics Institute (INE). In August, sales of real estate operations showed a decline of 9.9%, so the current figure reveals a weakening market. However, the September drop is one of the most moderate since January 2008 when the series begins.

88.5% of homes passed by purchase in September is 11.5% free and protected. In annual terms, the number of free housing sales borne down by 18.7% and 4.3% lower protected.
46.5% of homes passed by purchase in September are used and 53.5% new. The number of new housing operations decreased by 19.5% and 14.4% used low compared to September 2008.
